Locations are in Michigan, Texas, and Juarez Mexico.Job DescriptionThe Corporate Attorney will be in charge of the legal management of contracts, compliance and corporate matters. He/she will provide the company with effective legal advice, manage all legal activities and oversee the work of outside counsels. This position is also directly involved in complex business transactions and negotiations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Drafts, negotiates and monitors the performance of all contracts (purchases, sales, partnerships, NDAs, leases, etc.)Ensures consistency, manages risks and monitors deadlinesEnsures compliance of the company with regulations such as anti-corruption, GDPR, competition lawManages any pre-litigation or litigation mattersProvides internal training on legal matters (contracts, compliance, etc.)Provides continuing counsel and guidance on legal matters and on legal implications of matters across all entitiesContinuously monitors legal environment, including legal watch, on matters affecting all aspects of the businessProvides support to operations management related to employment law, immigration, potential litigation, policies and practices and compliance mattersWorks in close relationship with the General Counsel of the Group and ensures full compliance of the company with the corporate rules applicable worldwideQualificationsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Highly skilled in contract law with emphasis on IT/IP lawsAdvanced experience with industrial sector law preferredAbility to learn business requirements, analyze legal and business risks and propose solutionsStrong negotiation and persuasion skillsSolid judgement and demonstrated ability to provide sound legal advice and counselAbility to maintain confidentiality, behave ethically and exhibit discretionAnalytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skillsExcellent verbal and written skillsRequirements:Master’s Degree from an accredited law schoolMinimum three / five years’ experience as an in-house counsel, preferably in a manufacturing environmentExperience in drafting and negotiating contractsUp to 10% travel requiredAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
